Graduation Checklist

These items must be done by all seniors (whether you are graduating, “walking”, or continuing)

  • Apply for FAFSA (visit www.FAFSA.gov to do this, or attend a FAFSA completion event at Wasson) (must be completed for next school year)
  • Attend all Senior Meetings
  •  Complete a test or college course that meets the District 11 CCRD requirement
  • E-mail your college decision/plan for after graduation to your counselor
  • E-mail any scholarships you are offered (include the name of the scholarship, the amount, and if it is renewable, or not)
  • Graduation Ceremony Participation (let your counselor know if you are not participating walking at graduation
  • Send pictures, quotes, and future plans, and a favorite memory of Mitchell for their social media slides to: maria.niichel@d11.org
  • Social Media Permissions-If you don’t want your name and/or photo used in Social Media and/or in Graduation Slide Show, email maria.niichel@d11.org

ICAP

  • Naviance Login - https://clever.com/in/coloradosprings - click on the windows icon - Enter your CSSD11 email address and network password to login
  • Resume (create in Naviance, or e-mail an existing updated one to your counselor)
  • Apply to College (e-mail the colleges you applied to, to your counselor)
  • Apply for FAFSA (visit www.FAFSA.gov to do this, or attend a FAFSA night
  • Update your Postsecondary Goal in Naviance
  • Add 2 Careers to your list in Naviance
  • Complete the Senior Exit Survey in Naviance (available now)

These items must be done by Graduation Participants (if you are “walking”)

  • Order your Cap and Gown. Go to: http://www.jostens.com then scroll to the middle of the page, and click SHOP graduation. Search “Mitchell High School Colorado” and then order

These items apply to students in certain circumstances

  • E-mail for early graduates (if you will complete your grad requirements by December, E-mail your counselor to let them know. Be sure to include you DegreeCheck.)
  • E-mail Parents that work for D-11 (if your parent works for D11 and you are participating in Mitchell’s grad ceremony, let us know)
